Tacoma Narrows Bridge Work Continues
Interesting article about people working on the catwalk of the new Tacoma Narrows Bridge. "'It’s a long way down,' Gaddy said. 'I counted five seconds before it hit the water.'"You may not appreciate this, but this is probably the last long-span suspension bridge to be built in the United States for a long while, and it's happening right in my figurative back yard.
Earlier this month the local papers' weekend magazine had a nice story about the bridge. And the official construction website isn't bad. They'll be spinning the cables in October. Spinning the cables! Geeba geeba geeba.
